3 Trends To Watch Now
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are moving through all these changes ok!
So here's Lnk Agency's quick, snackable trend brief for the week to continue to help you better navigate the New Era. Here's what to watch:
1) Cancel Culture Expands - As "(fill-in-the-blank) PartyIsOver" shows no signs of slowing down, we now also start to see people self-canceling by abrupt resignations. In just the last few days we've seen editors at the New York Times to Philadelphia Inquirer to police chiefs to tech founders leave fast for various reasons. Watch this because it means that new types of mindsets and agendas will replace them with edgier mindsets.
2) Amplification Rules - Whether it's the massive expansion of Black Lives Matters now nearly worldwide to the usage of simultaneous, multi-platforms across the digital sphere (i.e. IG Live, Twitch, YouTube, Zoom) for events/virtual happenings, this is about turning up the volume in voice. Track this because it seems as the human voice gains greater ground, the corporate or authoritative voice appears to be either shrinking or bending to that voice. Plan accordingly.
3) TikTok: The Good, Bad & Ugly - Controversy still seems to intersect with this platform as evident in the latest issue about the alleged glitch around views, or zero tracking or race-related posts. As you know the platform moved swiftly a few days to solve the problem and get $4M together to donate. Now corrected, TikTok is home to users on this platform, some of which who have nearly twice the number of HBO's U.S. subscribers (source: Reuters, 60M for Charli D'Amelio!!!) are now switching up from posts about dance moves to dialogue about race matters making this a behemoth of youth culture exchange. Watch for certain elements to try to use AI to mine for insights.

(BTW, found this, Spotify playlist from a cool initiative spotlighting a Black woman each day who made history. Wanted to share for when you need to take a break from all shifts.)
Have a safe week.....
